it was the first day of my internship but my clock was an hour ahead of the standard time so i arrived at 3 o'clock in the morning. since nobody was there to open the door of the radio station for me i waited at the nearby park which was near the police station so i wasn't all afraid of pranksters.

i waited for 2 hours until kuya yong, the stations' anchor came and invited me.

parents restrict us from going out every holy week. and as an act of living up to the ten commandments we obey them.
i have been trapped in our house for days so i have taken to watching tv all day.
its not difficult to like the shows especially if your tv can only siphon one channel.
but there was one show that i really liked in particular "a dangerous life", the title tells so much about the story it conveys.
the story is about the Aquino's and the Marcoses, assassinations, coup d' etat, and the EDSA revolution.

it was quite the same as what we already know about these events. however, one dialogue impressed me a lot.

it was a dialogue between First Lady Imelda Marcos, played by Tessie Tomas, and a foreign journalist.(I can't remember the exact words but here it is.)

(as an explanation to the money she used for the construction of glamorous buildings)
Imelda: Do you know what Filipino's need more than food?
Journalist: (silence)
Imelda: Respect.

she claims that only by making the Philippines look glamorous can the other countries respect us.

i almost sided with the marcoses after hearing those words because it was quite right... but only for a time.

i was walking my dog one day when i saw this really beautiful plant. it was just small but its flowers was what got my attention. it was yellow.

i just stared at it because it mesmerized me. then i realized that the day after today would have been the birthday of the former president Corazon Aquino.

i was overcome with grief that i wanted so much to get the flower, but i realized that such a beauty should be allowed to live and bloom until the day it shall wither.

going to different places to search for news is always a tiring yet enjoyable task.

a few days ago, me and my friends went to the office of the Philippine Atmospherical, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Agency to ask about EL NIñO.

instead of another boring interview, we were entertained by a very nice employee. he was very charming and hospitable. he even invited us to partake of the fruits they grew at the back of their office.

so, bold as we are, we jumped at the opportunity. there were trees of guava and camias, and we ate all that was within our reach.

after the interview, our energy was not yet spent so we took pictures with the big commercial plane of PAL as background(the office was within the Dumaguete airport)

we were all giggling as we left the airport all the while thinking that all is well that ends well.

my sister kept on talking about a movie trailer she saw in ultra. the movie she was talking about was SHUTTER ISLAND. it makes no sense to me but she seems to be excited about it so my interest was piqued. she kept blabbing about it but i dismissed it for a time. but one day, i was surprised when i saw her holding a copy of SHUTTER ISLAND (yes, the movie was based on a book). she became very quiet and wouldn't stop reading. when she finished it she wouldn't tell me the story so i decided to read it too.

the book is super shocking. the ending was super mind-boggling. until now i don't know what to believe.

READ IT PLEASE AND TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK.

i've been reading Sophie Kinsella's shopaholic books for a month now and i'm on my third book. i have been super amazed at the contents. all i can say is that it's so refreshing to read novels that converses with the reader. the shopaholic collection portraits Rebecca Bloomwood, the protagonist, as a super shopping addict. Rebecca loves to justify all her purchases not realizing that she already has a roomful of it. the story revolves around her addiction and how it affects her life, her parents life, her love life, and her bestfriends life. its such an interesting read because it shows the characters weakness which turns out to be one of her strengths.

being with Rebecca for a bit long has really transformed me, her confidence is really infectious.

it was raining heavily yesterday so i decided to wear a rain coat.

i walked out of the house, walked towards the highway.

waited for public transportation.

found one.

i called it.

it stopped.

someone was already inside.

she looked at me like i came straight from a science lab.

there was something with that look, it made me feel like i came from outer space.

then i realized that i was wearing "The White Transparent Raincoat".

yeah i guess it's a bit off for a big guy like me to wear something so elemenatry-ish.

this book from my Favourite Author Jude Deveraux is definitely a tear-jerker.

gone wild with "Wild Orchids"

are you a fan of Jude Deveraux?

well i am, thats none debatable. hehe

among the first e-books i downloaded was Wild Orchids by Deveraux.

it was unlike all the stories i've read.

it was new for me but i liked it. hehe again

its style is different as well. all chapters in the book are narrations from the two main characters.
its like reading into their thoughts for every situation that they face.

everything intertwined in the end. great ending too.

they pretend not to love each other and tried their best to be civil due to their status and age gap but they got together in the end. (padugay-dugay pero mubigay diay to effect) haha now

please try to read Jude Deveraux. all her books are definitely a must-read.

my dog likes sweet potatoes!!!

due to the cold weather my mother decided against going out to buy snacks and boiled sweet potatoes and peanut instead.

when i arrived at our house, i found that there was nothing else to eat other than the aforementioned.

so i tried the peanuts. Hmm! yum!
then i tried the potatoes. it was to bland for my taste so i tried it with mayonnaise.

it was so nice. (try it, so nice Promise)

i finished two of it but i got bored so mashed one more. then i added two spoonfuls of mayo then i mixed again.

it was nice just like the first but i couldn't finish it so i called in heavy artillery.

i gave some of the sweet potatoe-mayo mixture to Yatch(he's my pet dog)

to my great astonishment, he gobbled everything i laid in front of him!

i was so shocked that i tried giving my cat Snow White some.

it was my second shock in that day because the ever so choosy cat and dog tandem devoured my mixture.

they ended up eating all of whats left in my platter.

hows that for an experiment.

now i have something to share to fellow pet lovers. hehe

They say that anticipating death is worse than death itself.

my friend is dying, and i know it. she doesn't know about it but i think she can feel it. you may say that i can still do something but i can't stop it from happening.

i am forced to believe that animals are food for humans according to the bible.
but it's so hard to accept this.

the event is fast approaching, that as well as her death.

i heard how she was to die, stabbed in the neck.

she did nothing wrong, but she ends up in the our table just like everyone of her kind.

she is my friend. a very goo9d friend. she is gullible, kind, friendly and gay. she made my days happy.

she is jolly. and she is a goat.

Dobby, you are the reason why i read the novels over and over again. Because by doing so, i get to "see" you one more time.
